Making the Email Subscription Process Easier
Richard Harley asked:
With so many companies vying for their time and with so much email being received, it is not easy to capture the subscriber’s undivided attention. In order to stand out from the crowd and be distinguishable from the from among the barrage of other emails, companies should strive to make their communication quick and easy, because ease is always more attractive than difficulty. And ease to readers is exactly what gained popularity for Google Adwords, Turbo Tax and others in the market of electronic communication.
You must have heard that old expression that says that “It’s easier said than done”. Well, that is exactly how it is when attempting to make everything easier for each and every subscriber. After all, what is easy for some, may not be so easy for others and vice a versa. Making things easy for new customers is especially difficult.
It is most important to keep the email address simple by creating a link in the opt-in form and on every promotional email and e-newsletter. Likewise, email address links should be included on every page of company’s website, as well as a “send to a friend” link. At times when images are blocked due to poor Internet connections, every button should be unmistakably and descriptively labeled, i.e., “Buy now”, “Subscribe here”, “Submit”, and so on.
Subscriptions must be made simpler and easier by organizing email IDs, links, sign up forms, posting information on every page and, of course, every email should have the “Subscribe” link which will lure the reader with its ease and convenient availability. Every action, whatever that action may be, should require minimal steps. According to a reputable survey, marketers who reduced the process of subscribing from nine steps to three experienced an increase of three hundred percent in the subscription rate.
Opt-in forms should collect enough personal information in order for marketers to match it to more relevant emails. However, too much required personal information may also be a deterrent for reluctant readers. The mandatory fields on the opt-in forms should be marked with asterisk, while all other fields should be visibly marked as “optional”.
Opt-in forms must include a “reset” or “update” button for the reader that wishes to make changes. In addition, there should be an easy way to set a password along with a link for retrieving the password if it is forgotten. Such links should be easily noticeable on every page of the website and on every email and e-newsletter.
To ensure that the company’s email stands out from all the other emails, the sender must be recognized at a quick glance and the subject line must be eye-catching. All emails should be text as well as HTML based and include the web version of the email. All emails should be printer friendly or allow for a print friendly version to be opened by a single click of the mouse.
To avoid seeming unprofessional and frustrating recipients and readers, every link must be tested before transmission. Companies must anticipate their readers’ expectations and everything they could or might want should be within arms reach. Many marketers choose to forgo the “Unsubscribe” option, but that is a grave mistake that will cost them their readers’ trust. As a matter of fact, the option to opt-out or unsubscribe should be every bit as accessible as is the option to opt-in.

Home-Based Business Ideas For Starters
Pinky Mcbanon asked:
Home-based business is an industry that is continuously expanding as well as growing. There are numerous doors and opportunities that are unlocked each day for professionals and entrepreneurs as well as the average Internet user that are into starting home-based businesses. However, if you are just new in this industry, it is advised that you research the possibilities and opportunities that you are able to be involved in. As you know there is a wide range of endeavors and opportunities that you can pursue in this kind of industry. For that matter, let’s look at some of the ideas for you to start off with.
Home-based businesses are versatile in the sense that there is no limitations as to what you are able to offer. As long as there is a demand, you can get involved as the supplier. As an example, you can start a pet products supplier company operated from your home which deals with supplies such as dietary supplements, vitamins, collars, brushes and the likes. The only setback when it comes to tangible products is that you will need to deal with the actual shipping of these products and hence, could be complicated.
Internet or online-shopping has increased in popularity over the recent years since it offers a convenient, secure and most often, cheaper alternative. In this day and age, almost every imaginable product and supply can be bought over the Internet. In addition, services such as the purchasing of airline tickets, cinema tickets, banking transactions and much more can be conducted from the comfort of home.
Starting a home-based business which offers consultation and professional services such as those that are related to “How To Make Money Through Affiliate Marketing” or those that pertain to other niche markets such as mortgages and reverse mortgages, hobbies and interests such as koi garden ponds and the likes. Individuals and Internet users have been known to use the Internet to seek information on these and many more subject matters. You can choose to provide information by offering consultation or professional advice, write quality articles to help them with their issues and provide the solution to their needs; this is where you are able to sell your products and other related services.
There is really no limits to what you are able to do over the Internet. It is really entirely up to your creativity to be innovative. As long as there is a demand, you can start a home-based business to fulfill it.

Don’t Question – Let it Be.
Charlie Wolter asked:
So in our lives, why do “good” things happen and “bad” things happen. It is not just luck; in fact one could argue there is no such thing as luck. I do not want to take this article into god, religion or any of the sorts, even though further study would eventually suggest that. What I am here to say is that things don’t “seem” to a happen for a reason, they “do” happen because you have asked for them to a happen.
A couple of years ago, which feels like about 20, I was working as a social worker and tired working really tough long hours for just an “okay” paycheck. Many times I would say “I went to college for this?” I wanted more, much more. Little did I know that when I signed up as an Independent Business Owner for Quixtar, how what I had wanted had indeed been answered.
Now I went down the trail of tears before in network marketing, but this was the ‘serious one’ the one that was going to set me free from the social work paycheck. As most of us do, we get involved with high hopes and dreams and then, nothing. I fended off the questions of whether quixtar was amway or not, I fended off the pyramid scheme skeptics and all the negative connotations of network marketing. But I still could not grow huge.
I noticed that all the “leaders” with huge down lines had something in common. What they had in common was a base of people that were not acquired by the methods they were teaching me. Whether they were grandfathered in from Amway, or had huge out of the country lines, it didn’t matter, I could not realistically grow big by handing out cd’s and doing “one on ones”.
Then as everything happens for a reason, frustration set in. Instead of quitting as most people do, I went outside the box and looked for answers. What I found was indeed what I had asked for about 5 years ago. A vehicle that I could work, work hard and get just compensation in return, it is called Marketing.
I learned the art and science behind marketing. I found experts to show me and many others how to take marketing techniques and use them to grow and develop massive down lines in the network marketing world.
Things do happen for a reason, in fact, one must actually be careful of what he/she asks for. If you want it, you can visualize it and think about it almost to obsession it will indeed happen. Careful though, this works on both positive and negative thoughts and desires.
You do have control over your life, you can create happiness or dread, you can create wealth or not, everything is within your control. The key is to put yourself in a place where you are most likely to succeed, go outside the box and follow your dream and it will indeed come true.
