Tel Aviv, which means “Hill of Springs” is the first all-Jewish city. It was originally named as Ahuzat Bayit. Tel Aviv is a big city, which sparkles with attractive beaches, cultural offerings, excellent shopping, and vibrant nightlife. Among the list of attractions Tel Aviv Museum of Arts is the best to be visited.

Tel Aviv Museum was established in 1932 in the home of Tel Aviv’s first mayor, Meir Dizengoff. Tel Aviv Museum is the Israel’s largest museum and depicts the history and culture of Israel.

This museum has a rich collection of modern and contemporary art and includes the paintings of both Israel and foreign artists, such as Van Hogh, Auguste Rodin, Archipenko, Matisse, Picasso, Marc Chagall, Camille Pissarro and many others.

Tel Aviv Museum houses temporary as well as permanent exhibitions consisting of painting, sculpture, prints, drawings and photography. Art education is the priority of the museum and many reference materials and archive of Israel’s art are present in the museum library. Tel Aviv Museum has auditoriums where several activities like lecture series, cinema, plays for children , etc., are organized.
